My story
Leaven from Heaven was born in 2024, when Rachel was helping a friend through a difficult journey. Baking bread together was healing for both of them and Rachel began her relentless journey to create the perfect loaf. That winter a snow storm pummeled the town and many neighbors couldn’t get out for groceries. Rachel seized the opportunity and baked bread for her neighbors to get through. Realizing there wasn’t many healthy food options in the Locks, the dream to share her passion with her community sprouted. Rachel’s first sale was on her front porch during the annual community garage sale.
Rachel loves to pray with her customers and bless anyone in need with a loaf. Every loaf is prayed over and you can taste the blessings pouring over you in every bite! She feels honored that you chose her bread to serve at your table.

Our ingredients
Only the best ingredients will do. That’s why our flour is sourced locally from Azure Standard, a local family mill that sells the highest standard of whole foods at affordable prices. They believe that everyone should have access to high-quality, organic, non-GMO foods to live long, strong, meaningful lives. I’m sharing that dream with them for my little community contributing sourdough bread. My flour is delivered to a local community drop at a neighbors house, so it is truly locally sourced.
